A lifelong passion begins with misty
My love affair with model horses began at the tender age of four when I received my very first model: Misty of Chincoteague. It was truly love at first sight! Since then, collecting has been a consistent joy in my life, a passion I’ve nurtured off and on since I was fourteen years old. This initial spark ignited a journey of discovery and dedication.
Embracing every facet of the model horse hobby
I thoroughly enjoy all aspects of the model horse industry! From the thrill of competing in shows with my cherished collection to the excitement of 'thrifting' for hidden gems, and delving into the rich history behind each model. I even dabble a bit in custom painting and hope to expand my artistic endeavors in the future. Plus, I love bringing the community together by hosting engaging swap meets and sales right here in Oregon.
My misty obsession and a fun hunt
As many in the community know, I have a significant soft spot—or perhaps a 'hoarding tendency'—for the Misty of Chincoteague model! With around 150 of her various incarnations, she holds a special place in my heart, being my very first model gift. It became a truly fun adventure to 'hunt' for new Mistys in the 'wild' of thrift shops and antique stores, each find adding to my cherished collection.
